SHIGANG LI (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Beijing Tsinghua University, China, in 1985, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka University, Japan, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. After receiving the Ph.D. degree, he was a Research Associate with Osaka University, in 1993. He became an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Informa- tion Sciences, Hiroshima City University, Japan, in 1995. In 2001, he moved to the Faculty of Engi-
neering, Iwate University, Japan. He became a Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering, Tottori University, Japan, in October 2007. Since April 2015, he has been a Professor with the Graduate School of Information Sciences, Hiroshima City University. He is currently a Visiting Professor with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Southwest Uni- versity, China. His research interests include computer/robot vision, intelli- gent transportation systems, and brain–computer interfaces.
